Breakout Sessions:

Migrating to Palo Alto Networks Firewalls (Hands-on Session)
Albert Estevez, Solutions Architect, Palo Alto Networks

Bring your laptop and plug in for an in-depth look at best practices for migrating your current policies to utilize your next-generation firewall to the fullest.  The Palo Alto Networks Migration tool 3.0 is a new release that helps automate and accelerate the migration from third-party firewall vendors to Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls, as well as the migration from port-based security policies to an application-based approach with App-ID. This hands-on session will train you to utilize the many capabilities of this new tool as we demonstrate a migration from a Cisco ASA environment to a Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewall. We will demonstrate how you can get the most value from your next-generation firewall while reducing your attack surface, and regaining visibility and control over your organization through the use of App-ID.

Prerequisites: Familiarity with firewalls and their configuration in general. Bring VMPlayer 6 or higher, workstation, or Fusion. Palo Alto Networks will provide a copy of the migration tool and a Cisco sample configuration to migrate during the session.

Mobile Security Workshop
Brian Tokuyoshi, Senior Solutions Analyst Manager, Palo Alto Networks

Threat prevention is one of the key reasons for deploying a Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewall. It protects your users when they are behind a firewall, but what happens when they travel outside of the office? Mobile workforces continue to keep working, and so do the hackers.

In this session, we’ll break down methods used by the attacker to breach the corporate perimeter by infecting mobile users.

  • Risk scenarios that affect your business and your people: attacks against the board of directors, employees at the coffee shop, and field staff
  • Breakdown of common tools and techniques used to find and exploit a targeted user: Hacking intelligence, doxing tools, password databases, WiFi hacking tools, mobile malware
  • Rundown on mobile threats: Malware analysis from Unit 42
12:40-13:15 Lunch with Partners

The Zero Trust Mindset: An Endpoint Security Discussion

Palo Alto Networks Panelists:
Dylan DeAnda, Senior Director, Technical Account Management EMEA, Tanium
Raymond Hinderks, IT Engineer
John Matelski, Fuel User Group
Michael Moshiri, Director of Endpoint Security, Palo Alto Networks

Companies can no longer afford to rely on a single-sided approach to enterprise security given that every day a access points are accessing their key information using a range of devices, and some of that information may not even reside within the company’s network. But when danger lurks in every USB stick and cell phone, what are your options? Join us for an engaging dialogue with a diverse panel of users, Palo Alto Networks employees and endpoint security experts from Tanium to learn where our panelists have seen the greatest dangers arise, how they are using multiple layers of security to address these concerns, and how they are leveraging their networks’ data to proactively address threats. Audience members are encouraged to bring their questions and share their experiences as well!
