Mario Perez

Mario is a CEH and Fuel original member from Los Angeles, California, and has been working and teaching in cyber security for ten years. He currently works as a Network Engineer for the Los Angeles Community Colleges District and has been using Palo Alto Networks technologies for the past six years. Mario is working on a Master's degree in Information Security and Assurance from Western Governors University.

John Linkowsky, Vice President

John Linkowsky is a seasoned IT veteran with over thirty years of network and security engineering background. He is currently employed as a Lead Information Security Systems Engineer for L3Harris, where his resposibilities include overall security engineering with a strong focus on firewall architecture, design, and policy across the global infrastructure. John holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Rider University and is a CISSP. For the last 23 years, he has been teaching at Mercer County Community College, as a Sr. Associate Professor, focusing on network routing and switching courses. John has been working with Palo Alto Networks technologies since 2012, and been an original Fuel User Group member since 2014. He is also involved in the NJ chapter of ISC2 and is a part of their cybersecurity mentoring program.

A seasoned information technology leader with over 25 years of information security experience. Capable of translating low level security details into executive level business decisions. Believes good compliance does not mean good security, nor does good security mean good risk management. Passionate for employee development. Experience includes healthcare cross-disciplinary compliance and privacy, software development, information security program management, cyber security managed services, federal government IT cloud deployments, global transition operations, and 20 years in the military.

Specific areas have included Customer Communities, User Groups, Reference Programs, Product and Customer Experience Design, Web Domain Management, Social Media, and Six Sigma disciplines. He's passionate about customer experience, and his current focus at Palo Alto Networks is Fuel User Group, with global alignment and integration with training and education, and other valuable customer resources.
