We have an exciting Chapter meeting coming up on Wednesday 16 October at Hoyts Cinema Melbourne Central! We'll start off with a couple of brief and informative best practice sessions on Panhandler and Best Practice Assessments (BPAs) themselves, followed by an exclusive screening of the new Movie release - Joker.
Session 1: Introduction to Panhandler - Managing Skillets to Deploy Best Practice Configurations
Speaker: Jonathan Cardenas, Senior Security Consultant, Basis Networks
Panhandler is a lightweight utility used to aggregate and view or load configuration templates which helps fast-track the loading of well known or recommended configurations without extensive searching and scrolling through GUI-click documentation.
Jonathan's Bio: Working in Networks and Network Security since 2006. Started his career working for a Global Service provider then moved to Australia in 2010 where he worked with multiple integrators such as Dimension Data, Brennan IT, O2 Networks, Telstra and now Basis Networks. Started working with the PANW platform back in 2014 and has since completed multiple deployments including platform refresh, data centre refresh and major firewall replacement projects. Certification: PCNSE, Palo Alto Networks Certified Security Consultant
Session 2: Best Practice Assessments (BPAs) - Have you done one? If so, now what?
Speaker: Andy Huggett, Customer Experience Architect, Palo Alto Networks
The Best Practice Assessment (BPA) enables you to measure and strengthen security on your Next-Generation Firewall. We'll introduce the BPA, and run through the typical process used to work through the findings and start making significant improvements to your security posture.
Session 3: Movie: Joker
Drinks and Popcorn OR ChocTop provided.
