12:15 pm - 1:00 pm    Presentation: "Leveraging Platform" (Mark Baik, City of Hope)

Mark Baik is responsible for information security architecture and architectural delivery of over $6 million in security-related initiatives this year.  His charter is to analyze cybersecurity technologies and trends to help develop information security strategy, system architecture, standards and processes for optimum organizational security posture and risk management profile.  Mr. Baik performs solutions design reviews and risk analysis to assess security implications of introducing new technologies in the organization and provide guidance on findings.  He also designs and implements solutions to meet security guidelines to ensure that compliance, legal and regulation requirements are enforced and related activities are monitored.  Mark provides technical oversight over the creation and implementation of security policies, standards and procedures.  Lastly, he creates and presents Executive/Board level documentation and reports to provide visibility and analysis of high impact projects and incidents.  His role is lead for the information security team in technical domain.
